We lost a great man yesterday. I had the privilege of calling him Paw Gene and living on his farm and growing up playing in the creek with all my cousins. He modeled loving Jesus, loving his wife & family and working extremely hard for all that he has. I would jump in his truck when he would blow the horn and we would go put out salt blocks for the cows. To me he was invincible and always there. His distinct voice is in my ears and always will be. He taught Sunday School to entire generation at the church where Corey & I were married in May. I'm so blessed he got meet Corey and enjoy our wedding day with us and to hear about his 10th great grand-baby we are expecting. It aches to think of not seeing his white truck coming and going on the farm but I know he is with our God who has cattle on a thousand hills and that will suit him just fine. I love you, Paw Gene, along with so many others. I'm so honored to be your granddaughter and so sad to say goodbye for now. I know heaven is rejoicing and welcoming you home.
